St. J Trilogy: 2020-21

The St. J Trilogy consists of Days of Atonement, The Ballad of Arcady and the Hawk and Night at Good Fella's.  These are modest films created during the co-vid crisis and reflect a minimalist approach- small casts, zoom scenes, and other adaptations forced by the contagious and deadly disease.  Each tells a story that reflects life in northeast Vermont during those years.

Days of Atonement (2020) 57 minutes

A prisoner is released after serving 50 years of a life sentence because he is dying from cancer.  During his remaining days he tries to make amends to the people he hurt.  But first he has to commit one more crime.

The Ballad of Arcady and the Hawk
(2021) 30 minutes

A Ukrainian American farmer with a reputation as someone who helps eco-warriors escape to Canada, helps a fugitive who might have killed someone in a monkey wrenching action.

A Night at Goodfella's (2021) 23 minutes

A gentle satire about Martin Scorcese and fundraising for new films recorded at Goodfellas Bar and Restaurant in Danville, Vt.
