NEKFLIX is an ensemble of filmmakers, performers, and long-time collaborators with a shared passion for making independent films rooted in the lived experiences, landscapes, and contradictions of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Working across satire, drama, folklore, and social realism, NEKFLIX films blend improvisation, regional storytelling, Jewish and immigrant cultural memory, and DIY production methods. Together, the films form a loose cinematic universe where rural isolation meets global politics, humor collides with grief, and small communities become stages for epic moral struggles.
